Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt officially engaged

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt officially engaged

After seven years and six kids together, Brad Pitt has finally put a ring on Angelina Jolie.

Pitt’s manager has confirmed that the star in engaged to marry his longtime love.

“It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy,” his manager tells People. “There’s no date set at this time.”

The Hollywood Reporter revealed earlier today that Jolie had been wearing an engagement ring while getting a private viewing of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Chinese Galleries on Wednesday night. Jolie unintentionally exposed the ring while leaning against a display case, showing her son Pax one of the museum’s vases. The stunning ring featured a super-sized diamond.

Robert Procop, the jeweler who made the ring, confirmed that the bauble was an engagement ring that Pitt had designed with Procop’s help.

Procop explained, “Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a yearlong collaboration. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so I was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina’s hand. Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution.”

Procop has worked with the power couple in the past. In fact, his “Style of Jolie” collection was designed in collaboration with the actress, with the proceeds going to the Education Partnership for Children in Conflict to build a school in Afghanistan.

While Jolie and Pitt had said in the past that they would not marry until gay marriage was legal, Pitt has changed his tune in recent months.

“We’d actually like to,” he told THR in January. “It seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren’t going to do it till everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment.”
