Hemsworth shocked by Cyrus VMA performance

Miley Cyrus’s VMA performance may have garnered her the attention she craves, but it also might have cost her a fiancé.

The singer’s on-again-off-again beau, Liam Hemsworth, was taken aback by the twerk-filled display, reports Radar Online.

Hemsworth, 23, who stars in the “Hunger Games” films alongside Jennifer Lawrence, wasn’t even at the Barclay’s Center on Sunday but still had to deal with the fallout.

“Liam really does care about Miley, but her racy new look and sort of ghetto attitude isn’t exactly what he signed up for,” an unnamed friend told the gossip site.

Hemsworth and Cyrus, 20, have been an item since meeting on the set of “The Last Song” in 2009.

That the Australian actor has to deal with a controversy he had no part in has his inner-circle worried about what the relationship could mean for his burgeoning career.

“It’s not just Liam that Miley is pushing away…his entire team is urging him to part ways with her because she’s nothing but negative for his reputation and career,” the source said.
