Avril Lavigne celebrates birthday solo amid divorce rumors

On Saturday, Avril Lavigne celebrated her 30th birthday without husband Chad Kroeger.

The 39-year-old Nickelback singer’s absence from the happy moment fueled speculation that the couple is on the verge of divorce.

Despite the rumors, Lavigne appeared to be all smiles, wearing a bright pink dress while partying with friends and family at Las Vegas’ The Bank Nightclub in the Bellagio Resort and Casino, reports Us Weekly.

“It’s over,” an insider revealed. “He has been going around LA telling people that they are divorcing.”

The pair tied the knot in the South of France in July 2013 after being engaged for one year. Kroeger popped the question, with a massive 14-carat ring, after dating the “Hello Kitty” singer for one month.

To further confuse fans of the couple, Kroeger gifted Lavigne an enormous 17-carat ring for their one-year anniversary. “I still can’t believe my 1 year anniversary gift,” gushed Lavigne, showing off the sparkler. “17 carat emerald cut. Wow. I love my hubby.”

No word on whether she received a gift for her 30th.
