Did Gwyneth slight Martha with her Jailbird Cake recipe?
Gwyneth Paltrow and Martha Stewart have traded their beef for sugar.
Paltrow’s goop website published a Jailbird Cake recipe, a possible dig at the 73-year-old’s five-month prison stint in 2004.
The yummy creation calls for 2/3 box of Famous chocolate wafers, 3 cups of whipping cream, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar and shaved milk chocolate for garnish.
The image of the cake even has little prison bars along the side — and is best served cold.
In October, Stewart unveiled a Conscious Coupling pie, which she describes as the “perfect marriage of crust and filling.”
The pie’s name was taken from Paltrow, 42, and Chris Martin’s infamous statement describing the end of their marriage as “conscious uncoupling.”
In the months that followed, both Paltrow and Stewart have engaged in tit-for-tat behavior. Stewart told Net-a-Porter’s Porter magazine that Paltrow should be “quiet,” adding, “If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart.”
Things between the ladies heated up when Paltrow hired former Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia executive Lisa Gersh to be the CEO of goop.
