Bond down: Daniel Craig undergoes knee surgery
Daniel Craig isn’t as resilient as James Bond.
The British actor, 47, had surgery to repair a knee injury he suffered while filming the 24th entry in the long-running film franchise, reports BBC News.
Eon Productions confirmed the news, referring to the operation as a “minor procedure.”
“During a scheduled break, Daniel Craig had arthroscopic surgery to repair his knee injury. He will rejoin production on April 22nd at Pinewood [Studios, in Buckinghamshire],” a spokeswoman for the company told the news service.
The injury occurred while filming “Spectre,” the fourth film in which Craig has portrayed the beloved British super spy.
This is just the latest setback to befall the film. In December a draft of the film’s script leaked in the Sony Pictures hack; and in October, nine Range Rovers set to be used in the film were stolen in Neuss, Germany.
The film, which co-stars Christoph Waltz, is due in theaters on Nov. 6.
