Ariana Grande and Big Sean call it quits
Big Sean and Ariana Grande’s relationship has come to an end.
After eight months of romance, the couple — who’ve walked red carpets together and shared adoring photos of each other on social media — have pulled the plug on their courtship.
“They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends,” reads a joint statement given to Page Six on Monday. “We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time.”
The former pair also mixed business with pleasure. Big Sean, whose real name is Sean Anderson, and Grande have produced three songs together — “Best Mistake,” “Research” and “Right There.”
Looking back, there may have been clues indicating trouble in paradise. Big Sean, 27, and Grande, 21, have been cryptically tweeting messages about love in recent weeks.
“Just know I love u and I care for ya,” he tweeted on April 4.
Grande simply tweeted “love” on both April 13 and April 19.
The unexpected split also calls into question recent photos of Justin Bieber and Grande getting very close on stage during an April 8 concert in Los Angeles.
Big Sean may open up about his love life sooner rather than later. He’s scheduled to appear on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” Monday night.
