Billionaire has been lavishly courting Mariah for months

Australian billionaire James Packer has been courting his new girlfriend, songstress Mariah Carey, for months, sources tell Page Six.

We’re told Packer visited Carey in New York back in April, before she began her Las Vegas residency, “Mariah #1 to Infinity,” in May. Globe-trotting Packer then traveled to Vegas to support Carey on the opening night of the show.

We’re also told the billionaire spent thousands on flowers to fill her suite at the Peninsula Hotel in Paris a few weeks ago, where she shot an editorial for Harper’s Bazaar magazine with photographer Jean-Paul Goude and fashion editors Carine Roitfeld and Stephen Gan.

Packer and Carey have been photographed on the Riviera together at events during the Cannes Lions creative festival and on his yacht.

On Tuesday, the new couple took in a performance by Sting at a Cannes dinner hosted by MediaLink and iHeartMedia.
