Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger buy $5.4M LA home

Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger have a new place to hang their guitars.

The Canadian rockers — who married in 2013 — recently shelled out $5.4 million for a sprawling French-style estate in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

The 7,888-square-foot property boasts vaulted ceilings, four “Juliet” balconies and a stunning double staircase in the dramatic two-story foyer.

The couple will have no problem entertaining in this 6-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom home complete with a private gym, home theater with an adjoining snack room and an ivy-covered patio that extends to a built-in pool. Also on the grounds are an outdoor gas fireplace and a backyard fire pit.

Lavigne, 30, and Kroeger, 40, will undoubtedly make good use of the enormous gourmet eat-in kitchen, which features granite countertops, three dishwashers, two refrigerators and a walk-in pantry.

Situated on just over half an acre in a gated community, the luxurious estate features top-of-the-line security features including cameras in each room that can be viewed from a smartphone.
