Domenico Dolce finally apologizes for IVF comments
Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce infuriated the gay community in March when the designers insulted parents of children born via in vitro fertilization.
Elton John and Ricky Martin, parents themselves, were among those who spoke out against them. But Dolce finally apologized on Vogue.com Friday.
“I’ve done some soul-searching. I’ve talked to Stefano a lot about this. I’ve realized that my words were inappropriate, and I apologize. They are just kids,” he says. “You don’t need labels, baby labels.”
Of IVF births: “I think everybody chooses for themselves. I don’t know everything about IVF, but I love it when people are happy. It’s like medicine. Science has been put on the table to help people.”
