Hailey Baldwin has Justin Bieber and Jesus to thank for staying grounded
Hailey Baldwin avoids the trappings of being young in Hollywood thanks to her famous family, Justin Bieber and Jesus.
“Be surrounded with people that are constantly uplifting you and that care about you and your soul,” Baldwin told Page Six at the DKNY runway show Wednesday. “Honestly, without the support of my family, I wouldn’t be able to do it.”
The 18-year-old is the daughter of the actor Stephen Baldwin.
The model and her pal Bieber — whom she was rumored to be dating this summer after the pair was spotted enjoying a Miami getaway — find spiritual support in the Hillsong church led by Pastor Carl Lentz and his wife, Laura.
“[Justin and I] are very close with Carl and Laura. They care about me as authoritative figures in my life and I go to them with a lot of things and I ask for their advice,” she explained. “It really keeps me grounded to be a part of their church.”
In June, Baldwin and Bieber, 21, flew to Australia to attend a special five-day Hillsong conference. The Canadian singer has attempted in recent months to clean up his bad boy image with the help of Hillsong.
“This past year [Justin] has made a lot of big changes in his life,” explained Baldwin. “He’s really a good person and I don’t think everybody knows that side of him. I think he’s trying to get everybody to know that’s who he really is.”
“He’s one of the most caring and most polite people I know,” she added.
