Lamar Odom found unconscious at Nevada brothel
Former NBA star-turned-reality star Lamar Odom was taken to a Las Vegas hospital after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel.
Page Six has confirmed that the 35-year-old basketball player was at Dennis Hof‘s Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada, when he was found unconscious Tuesday afternoon.
“[Paramedics] told us it wasn’t looking good, he might not make it,” Hof, owner of the Bunny Ranch and its sister brothel Love Ranch, told Page Six on Tuesday night.
Hof said two women he called Monica Monroe and Ryder Cherry found Odom, the estranged of Khloé Kardashian, unconscious and called 911.
The Nye Country sheriff told TMZ — which first reported the news — that the call came in around 3:15 p.m. and that paramedics were able to stabilize Odom on the way to the hospital.
Odom had been at the ranch alone since Saturday and reportedly was taking an herbal substitute for Viagra.
“They don’t think he was taking any other drugs,” Hof said. “The girls didn’t see any.”
He was taken to a hospital in Pahrump, where he reportedly was intubated before being rushed to Las Vegas for further treatment. According to the gossip site, Khloé, her sister Kim Kardashian and their mother, Kris Jenner, were on their way to Vegas.
Kylie Jenner was holding a live stream about her new app when news of Odom’s condition broke and the starlet had to end the show.
“Had to end my live stream,” Jenner tweeted. “I love you guys.”
Some NBA stars also took to social media to give their prayers to the fallen athlete.
“PRAYERS all the way UP for my brother Lamar Odom!!!” tweeted Dwyane Wade.
“Prayers go out to Lamar Odom and his family please,” tweeted the Clippers’ Paul Pierce. “God anything u can do to help him thru this.”
Odom was breathing with the assistance of a machine early Wednesday and was in critical condition, TMZ said.
He devolved into drug and alcohol problems under the bright lights and scrutiny that comes with sports and the insatiable audience of reality television.
Odom, who won NBA championships with the Lakers in 2009 and 2010, last played in the NBA in 2013 and saw recent reality TV fame through his marriage to Khloé.
Kardashian filed for divorce in 2013, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce has not yet received final approval from a judge.
The two were married in 2009 in a large ceremony taped for the E! network, following a whirlwind engagement that was also filmed.
Odom was suspended during the 2000-01 season for violating the NBA’s anti-drug policy for the second time in eight months.
In August, Odom ambushed Khloé outside a SoulCycle class in Beverly Hills, demanding that she speak to him. Soon after, he told In Touch Weekly that she was his “soul mate.”
“I can’t control it,” he said. “We’ll never part. I would never consider myself serious with another woman.”
Reps for Odom and Khloé did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
