Lamar Odom reportedly brain-dead after $75K brothel binge
Lamar Odom’s overdose at a Nevada brothel has left the former NBA star brain-dead, it was revealed Thursday.
“He has no brain activity,” a hospital insider told Radar Online.
“He is brain-dead,” another source added. “The tests showed no function.”
Odom had already paid dearly for his trip to the Love Ranch in Crystal, Nevada, as soon as he stepped through the metal gates Sunday — charging $75,000 to his credit card for what he imagined would be a week or more cavorting with a pair of bottle blondes.
He had scheduled a five-day visit a week in advance, paid 10 percent up front and planned to take his time enjoying the attentions of hookers Ryder Cherry and Monica Monroe in the brothel’s best VIP suite, said a spokesman for the Love Ranch.
He ordered up the “girlfriend experience,” brothel owner Dennis Hof told NBC — 24-hour-a-day companionship, including sex and such activities as watching TV and cooking. “He gave the girls $75,000, but he planned on being there a long time — at least five days,” Hof told daytime talk-show host Wendy Williams.
He reportedly ate as heartily as he did drugs, downing buckets of KFC and T-bone steaks three at a time, the Daily Mail reported.
And he opened up in a private, platonic talk with brothel manager TJ Moore.
“I was a little nervous at first, but it was clear he just wanted to talk,” Moore, 52, told the Daily Mail. “He’s been hurt a lot. I think he doesn’t know who to trust. He was mellow, melancholy almost. He gave me a kiss on the cheek, like a son would kiss a mother.”
Odom’s visit to the cathouse “would have ended up being like 10 days by the time he left,” given that he planned to stay for Hof’s upcoming birthday.
The two men had a pimp-to-John, heart-to-heart talk about drugs, Hof insisted to Williams, referring to Odom’s struggles with cocaine addiction.
“Told him no drugs, because, of course, everybody knows his history . . . He promised he wouldn’t have any,” Hof said.
“Came out, great guy, great mood, having a lot of fun,” Hof said. “Partying with the girls, drinking his cognac. We didn’t see any signs of drugs at all.”
Hof said he believed the two-time NBA championship winner and estranged husband of Khloé Kardashian would stay clean during his stay.
But Odom was apparently on coke even as he asked Hof on Saturday to send a car to bring him to the brothel from his condo in Vegas an hour and a half away.
“He was very honest. He said, ‘I been partying in Vegas.’ He said, ‘I done some coke on Saturday.’ He said, ‘I didn’t bring any with me out of respect for Dennis and his business.’
“And I want to take him at his word, although we all know that drug addicts lie.”
A video seized by police purports to show Odom popping pills, and it is now part of the law enforcement investigation, Radar Online said.
Odom’s brain-scan results were the most dire account among a flurry of conflicting reports on the former Lakers star’s future, as he lay hooked to life support in the ICU at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.

At midday Thursday came a hint of good news.
Odom was reported to have squeezed the hand of one of the five Kardashian women at his bedside — with TMZ saying his estranged wife Khloé’s hand got the squeeze and Entertainment Tonight reporting it was sister-in-law Kim’s.
But doctors cautioned that a squeeze could have been merely an involuntary movement.
Then came more bad news. Odom’s doctors said that given the damage to his heart and kidneys, the longer he remained unresponsive, the less likely his recovery would be, TMZ reported.
Complicating matters were reports of Internet sniping among Odom insiders over who dropped the ball on the former star’s addiction problems.
Much of the heat fell on the Kardashian family, into which Odom married in 2009 with a televised wedding to Khloé.
The athlete thought Khloé was exploiting his growing frailty for “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” despite his begging that she stop, reports quoted an Odom source as saying.
“Khloé would either ignore the texts and voice-mail messages asking her to stop, or she would tell him, ‘You owe me this after you humiliated me by cheating with other women,’ ” one insider told Radar Online.
The Kardashians “have blood on their hands” for “demonizing and exploiting” Odom on their show, the insider told Radar.
Meanwhile, there is sniping among the Kardashians themselves, as matriarch Kris Jenner is trying to pressure Khloé into moving Odom to LA to be closer to the family, Radar Online reports.
Also trading barbs were two of Odom’s closest pals. Rapper Master P told TMZ that former Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant is a “phony” friend who failed to help Odom with his demons.
Bryant responded Thursday on Twitter, accusing the rapper of being “insensitive.”
“When WE feel the need to question the support of others in moments as critical as a life hanging in the balance, then we must question the kind of culture we have created that has led US to such insensitive suspicion,” Bryant tweeted.
Hof also said the herbal Viagra Odom consumed at Love Ranch is “very common” and sold at gas stations.
“It’s like doing multiple energy drinks at the same time, in my mind,” Hof said.
But Odom’s preferred energy booster was cocaine, a man identified as his former New York-based dealer told Radar.
Odom smoked more than $50,000 worth of cocaine from 2010 to 2013, even bingeing before NBA games, the anonymous drug dealer said.
“He is a cocaine guy. He likes to smoke it,” the dealer said.
He claimed that in 2013, Odom bought and used drugs shortly before playing against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
“I know it for a fact because I sold him the stuff and saw him smoke it,” the man said. “He spent about 16 grand.”
“In one sitting?” Radar asked.
“More or less, yeah,” the dealer replied.
Odom has now gone from a bed full of brothel babes to a bed surrounded by Kardashian women, with Khloé reportedly refusing to leave his side.
