Lamar Odom leaves hospital for private rehab center

Former NBA star Lamar Odom has been moved out of a Los Angeles hospital and into a private rehab center as he recovers from a devastating drug overdose at a Nevada brothel, reports said Friday.

Odom, found unconscious on the floor of his VIP room at Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch in Crystal, Nev., last Oct. 13, will face the next phase of his recovery at a specialized rehabilitation center in Los Angeles, according to E! News.

While Odom was in the hospital, “drugs were found in his system” and he suffered a “loss of oxygen” that resulted in a stroke caused by a blood clot that stopped blood flow to his brain, the network said.

Odom’s wife, Khloé Kardashian, said Wednesday that the former LA Laker is doing well in his recovery.

“He’s doing amazing, and I’m so proud of the strength that he has had to fight that battle,” said Kardashian, who plays herself on TV.

While discussing Odom’s health, Khloé also mentioned her new talk show “Kocktails With Khloe,” which will be filmed in a replica of Kardashian’s house and will feature celebrity guests and dinner parties.
