Countess LuAnn gets engaged with an 8-carat rock

“Real Housewives of New York” star Countess LuAnn de Lesseps is engaged to businessman Thomas D’Agostino Jr.
D’Agostino, 49, initially planned to pop the question on a Valentine’s Day trip, but couldn’t wait and surprised de Lesseps, 50, with an 8-carat, canary yellow diamond ring at his New York apartment over the weekend, a source confirmed to Page Six.
“LuAnn said she is over the moon in love with Thomas,” gushed the source. “She considers him her soul mate and is so happy and grateful to have found love a second time.”
De Lesseps and D’Agostino, who is president and CEO of Smart Source, were spotted looking at rings last month in Palm Beach, Florida.
The Bravo star was previously married to Count Alexandre de Lesseps, 66, from 1993 to 2009, whom she has two children with: son Noel, 19, and daughter Victoria, 21.
The Countess has become popularly known by the courtesy title she retained after her divorce, but will have to abandon the form of address with her new marriage. However, she will keep the designation for her businesses, including apparel and jewelry collections, which will still be called The Countess Collection: Styled for Living.
The former model will likely take on D’Agostino’s name after the couple walks down the aisle, a source close to the beauty confirmed.
The happy pair was introduced last spring by their mutual friend and “RHONY” cast member Dorinda Medley and have been been inseparable ever since.
De Lesseps and D’Agostino will celebrate their pending nuptials with a ski getaway this week in Vail, Colorado.
