Taylor Swift fires back at Kanye during Grammys speech
There is nothing Taylor Swift does better than revenge.
After Kanye West made a dig at the singer on his new album, Swift used her final moment on stage at Monday night’s Grammys to address the drama.
“As the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there,” the 26-year-old said, accepting her award, “there are going to be people along the way that will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going you will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world. Thank you for this moment.”
On his new track “Famous,” which he debuted last week, West rapped, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.”
Her famous friends have been speaking out against West since the song’s debut.
Their feud goes back to 2009, when West jumped on-stage and interrupted her VMA acceptance speech.
Swift was nominated for seven awards at the 2016 Grammys and won three.
