Joe Giudice: Prison will give me a break from booze

Joe Giudice, who in the past has admitted he “might” have a drinking problem, says going to prison will give him a much-needed break from the bottle.

“I haven’t stopped drinking in I don’t know how long, so I could definitely use it just for that, you know?” he told “Entertainment Tonight” in an interview airing Wednesday. “[It’s] probably going to be a good thing for me, health-wise anyway.”

“Juicy” Joe is set to begin his 41-month sentence for fraud at a New Jersey prison on March 23, just a few months after his wife, “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, got released following her own 11-month stint.

Joe recently told People of his wife’s time away, “Definitely the whole year I drank every day a couple of bottles at night just to go to bed.”

Teresa isn’t looking forward to an empty bed either. “I’m going to miss sleeping with him at night and cuddling with him,” she lamented to “ET.” “I’m going to miss the passion, and I can’t say any more than that.”

As for the couple’s four young daughters, Joe says, “They go on computers, they know everything … I mean my daughter Milania tells me, ‘You’re going away for a lot more months than Mommy.'”
