Prince’s lengthy list of lovers

He was a music — and ladies’ — man for the ages.
Prince, who died suddenly on Thursday, left behind a remarkably long list of talented and famous women with whom he was romantically linked.
Stunners Apollonia, Vanity, Misty Copeland, Carmen Electra, Vanessa Marcil, Kim Basinger, Sheila E. and Susanna Hoffs were a few of the women among Prince’s greatest hits.
Apollonia, Prince’s love interest in the iconic movie “Purple Rain,” said she was never Prince’s girlfriend, per se, but was remarkably close to him.
“We were, and still are, platonically, romantically involved,” Apollonia once said, according to the Oprah Winfrey-linked site wherearetheynow.buzz.
“There’s a lot of romance. He was not my boyfriend, but he’s my greatest friend.”
Prince gave Hoffs one of the best gifts she ever received — the song “Manic Monday,” which her group, the Bangles, turned into a hit.
And he’s the one who convinced Tara Leigh Patrick to change her name to Carmen Electra in the early 1990s, when she was on his record label.
