Questlove, Spike Lee party in honor of Prince

Questlove and Spike Lee both scheduled parties to honor pop genius Prince in Brooklyn on Thursday night after news broke that the icon passed away.
Questlove posted a photo on Instagram of Prince’s famous symbol and captioned it “2nite.”
The “Tonight Show” bandleader and Prince aficionado — who once even taught a class on the legendary artist at NYU — was scheduled to spin the Purple One’s tunes at his weekly party Bowl Train at Brooklyn Bowl. The emotional drummer tweeted before sending out his invite, “Long Live The King,” and, “I can’t f - - king breathe right now.”

Meanwhile, Lee invited fans to join him for a dance party at his 40 Acres and a Mule film headquarters in Fort Greene to fête the singer. Said Lee’s invite: “PRINCE We Love You Shockadelica Joint . . . A celebration of his life. We will dance, sing and shout to his music. Wear something purple.”
He added in a separate post, “I Miss My Brother. Prince Was A Funny Cat. Great Sense Of Humor.” Lee has also hosted annual parties to honor Michael Jackson since his death in 2009.
