How the Kardashians went from being banned at the Met Gala to ruling it

Kris Jenner, boyfriend Corey Gamble, Kim Kardashian, husband Kanye West, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner “ruled” Monday night’s Met Gala, despite being banned from the event just four years ago.

“It’s interesting how they really work that room now,” an insider told Page Six. “They really take it over. It’s like their party. Kim Kardashian went over really well. I gotta say, they worked the room the best. If you had to pick one group who ruled it, it was the Kardashians.”

Kylie was overheard telling Anna Wintour that her bob hairstyle was an homage to the Vogue powerhouse’s iconic ‘do.

Meanwhile, Gigi Hadid worried aloud she would be seated near Demi Lovato. While the ladies have no issues, Demi is on tour with Joe Jonas, Hadid’s ex-boyfriend.

“[Gigi] was just trying to make herself known because she’s hot right now,” the insider added of the model.

Stars hung out in cliques all evening — including the pregnant women. Kerry Washington and Emily Blunt were taking bets on the sex of each other’s baby. Fellow expectant mother Olivia Wilde mingled with them, too.

Beyoncé, who is in the middle of her Formation World Tour, was seen sitting next to her sister Solange Knowles. Both attended sans their husbands.

Gala co-chair Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez were attached at the hip and holding hands all night.

The night wasn’t complete without swag, of course. Attendees were gifted with cameras, Gucci perfume and a Las Vegas trip, among other items.

“They take great pains to make sure everybody is happy ahead of time,” the insider said of The Met and Vogue party planners.
