Could Gwyneth’s $15,000 sex toy actually be worth it?

This week, Gwyneth Paltrow released a list of ridiculously priced sex toys on her lifestyle blog, Goop, including a $15,000 vibrating personal massager plated in 24k gold.

The “Inez,” from adult toy company Lelo, was handpicked for the list of bedroom baubles by Paltrow and her team of editors, according to a rep for the “Iron Man” actress.

Despite its hefty price tag, some industry insiders say the over-the-top toy might actually be worth buying.

“Certain erogenous zones like the G-spot and prostate respond particularly well to firm massage, so metal toys — including 24k gold — are well-designed for this,” explained Sarah Tomchesson, a spokesperson for the LA-based adult boutique Pleasure Chest.

“Also, you can heat a metal dildo close to body temperature in hot water, which has a more sensual feel than a cold toy,” added Tomchesson.

Other products on Paltrow’s raunchy register include a $535 cat whip in black and gold and $395 nipple clamps.
