Blabbing bodyguard claims Kanye forged NDA
The former Kanye West bodyguard who branded the rapper a megalomaniacal control freak claims the star is now trying to bully him with allegedly forged legal documents.
Former NYPD cop Steve Stanulis slammed the rapper in a UK interview, saying he was such a spoiled superstar that he refused to press elevator buttons and made crazy demands, including that staff only wear black and not speak in his presence.
West responded by threatening to sue Stanulis for $30 million, claiming he signed a confidentiality agreement before working with him and wife Kim Kardashian.
However, Stanulis insists he never signed the agreement, and West’s lawyers are threatening him with a document that mysteriously bears his signature.
Stanulis alleges to Page Six, “After I had finished working with them, and my first comments came out in the press, Kanye’s head of security wanted to meet me and asked me to sign a post-dated confidentiality agreement, and I refused. That would be like putting my head on the guillotine and pulling the lever.
“Then somebody seems to have done their best to copy my signature on another confidentiality agreement, which is clearly a fake, and I can prove it. It isn’t my signature, and I have a chain of messages from them asking me to sign an NDA months after this forged one is dated.
“Kanye is demanding an apology from me, but he owes me an apology for terrorizing me.”
But a source close to Kanye insisted, “Steve signed an NDA in February when he worked for them for the first time, and he forgot about it. They would never base a lawsuit on a forged document.
“The claim that his signature on the confidentiality agreement is forged is ridiculous and just another desperate attempt by him to escape responsibility for his own wrongful actions.”
Stanulis worked for West and Kardashian during last February’s New York Fashion Week, and for a few days around the Met Gala earlier this month. He told the Sun, “I had to look after his toddler daughter once and it was so much easier than baby-sitting the father.” And, “He is the most condescending person I have ever met.”
West’s rep responded by saying the couple was preparing to sue Stanulis. His rep said, “The West family will no longer tolerate the spreading and selling of fake stories in a desperate, transparent and shameless attempt for publicity at their expense. This sad, parasitic maniac has violated every basic human tenet of decency with his story of lies. As such, the Wests will explore all legal means at their disposal to silence this nonsense.”
Stanulis added, “I just don’t like the fact that he believes he is bigger than anyone else. He’s trying to bully me with this ridiculous lawsuit, with forged documents to back it up.”
Of Kanye, he said, “As soon as he walks in his studio, you can feel the negative vibe in there, everybody walks on eggshells. His issue is that he doesn’t have any true friend there that can say, ‘Listen, bro, you are acting a little nuts, you need to cool it.’ He has only yes men around him.
“He thinks he can drag me through the mud. If he just paid me the $900 for my work for them, I would go away and never mention the names Kanye West and Kim Kardashian again.”
Stanulis’ attorney Don Bosco added, “Kanye West’s legal claim is based on a forged phony confidentiality agreement. I am surprised his fancy LA attorneys haven’t [done] their due diligence to see the document that they are basing their lawsuit on is fake.”
Reps for Kanye declined to comment on the record about the validity of the confidentiality agreement.
