Calvin Harris cancels two more shows following car crash
Calvin Harris has cancelled two additional shows as he continues to recover from last week’s car accident.
“Adam is still recovering from the injuries sustained in the car accident last Friday,” Harris’ camp wrote on his Facebook page Thursday. “Unfortunately, as a result he will not be able to perform in Las Vegas at Hakkasan tonight, 5/26 and Omnia tomorrow, 5/27.”
“He asked us to pass on his apologies to everyone who was due to attend the shows and hopes to be back to his normal schedule soon. — Calvin HQ,” the statement ended.
Harris, 32, was the passenger in an SUV that was struck by a car that had crossed over the center line, Los Angeles police spokeswoman Noram Eisenman confirmed. And while the Scottish DJ, real name Adam Wiles, was taken to the hospital via ambulance, he was released soon after.
“He was examined by doctors and sustained a number of injuries,” his rep indicated. “He has since checked out of the hospital and is now recovering.”
While Harris’ girlfriend, Taylor Swift, 26, was said to be “in shock” after his traumatic collision, E! News reported that the artist cancelled several shows as a precaution.
“He is keeping an eye on his body to make sure he is 100 percent this week,” a source told the site.
Reps for Harris and Swift did not immediately return our request for comment.
