There’s still hope for Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney

Lady Gaga and her fiancé, actor Taylor Kinney, have broken up, but sources tell Page Six they both hope they can reconcile.

The singer’s spokeswoman exclusively confirmed to Page Six on Tuesday night, “They are on a break.”

She declined to comment on the reason for the break, but another source tells us of the former couple, who had been dating for five years and were engaged on Valentine’s Day last year, “They are still in constant communication. Yes they are on a break, but they hope they can work things out. They still have a really deep love and respect for each other.”

We’re told the split happened after they had been spending more time apart because of work.

The source added, “They realized they needed a break when she started working on her album. He started shooting the show [‘Chicago Fire’] and they weren’t spending as much time together. They stopped seeing each other so much and they drifted apart. They’re both focusing on their careers but are in constant communication. Gaga thought [the news of their split] would all blow over with everything happening in the world right now.”

Reps for Kinney didn’t comment.
