Brad Pitt under investigation for alleged child abuse

Brad Pitt is under investigation in LA for allegedly being “verbally abusive and physical with his children” on a private jet — actions that led Angelina Jolie to demand a divorce, according to TMZ.

The couple and the kids were on the plane Sept. 14 when a “wasted” Pitt allegedly went ballistic, shouted and roughed up the children, the site reported Thursday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

Pitt continued his wild behavior after the plane landed at 8 p.m., when he even tried leaving in one of the airport fuel trucks, the gossip site reported.

The incident was reported to the LA County Department of Children and Family Services, which later interviewed the couple formerly known as Brangelina. Authorities also are planning to interview the children.

The Los Angeles Police Department also is involved in the alleged child-abuse case, TMZ reported.

The mile-high mayhem is what prompted Jolie to finally pull the plug on the tumultuous marriage, the site reported.

A source close to Pitt told TMZ that “he takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children,” adding, “It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light.”

Jolie has asked for sole physical custody of the six children, though Pitt was gearing for a fight to gain joint custody.
