Police: We’re not investigating Brad Pitt for child abuse

Cops are not investigating Brad Pitt for any type of child abuse and are calling out a report by TMZ claiming they are, an LAPD staff sergeant told The Post.
“It’s not true. There is no criminal investigation or any investigation of any kind against Brad Pitt,” said Sgt. Barry Montgomery, adding the celebrity website “made it up.”
TMZ reported that both the LAPD and LA County Department of Child and Family Services are investigating an incident where Pitt became “verbally abusive and physical with his children” on a private jet Sept. 14 – which directly led to Angelina Jolie filing for divorce.
The report said Pitt was “wasted” and went ballistic on the couple’s six children, shouting and hitting them – and that the behavior was documented in reports to authorities.
But Montgomery maintained the LAPD has never received any kind of report that Pitt is a bad dad.
“There is nothing stemming from anything on the 14th. There is nothing stemming from anything on Brad Pitt. No. It’s not true.”
In her divorce filing, Jolie asked for physical custody of their six children.
Legal analysts have told The Post her doing so may be a legal strategy.
