Reports about the gunpoint robbery of Kim Kardashian have said the crime happened at a Paris hotel. And while that’s technically true, an insider tells Page Six that’s it’s even scarier: The scene of the crime is actually the family’s Parisian home.

A second insider tell us Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, has owned the apartment in the Hotel de Pourtalès for years, and that Kardashian has spent many nights there. It was even the place that in happier times she spent the nights before her 2014 wedding to West.

“It’s their home,” said a source.

According to the other insider, that’s why the robbery could be “so well planned out.” “They knew exactly what room, etc.,” they said.

Kardashian, 35, was attending Paris Fashion Week when five attackers — wearing ski masks and clothes with police markings — struck about 3 a.m. local time Monday at the exclusive Hotel de Pourtalès.

Two of the attackers tied up a night security guard, broke into Kardashian’s room and put a gun to her temple, sources said.

She begged for her life as she was gagged and tied up. The attackers left her in a hotel bathtub before making off  with between $5.6 million and $6.7 million worth of jewels and a ring worth about $4.5 million, a source told Reuters.

“She begged for them to let her live and [said] she has babies at home. Then they wrapped her mouth in tape and put her in the bathtub,” a source told E! News. “She thought they were for sure going to kill her.”
