Mariah Carey cozies up to her backup dancer
Mariah Carey was looking mighty close this weekend with her backup dancer Bryan Tanaka — who’s rumored to have come between her and her ex-fiancé, Australian billionaire James Packer.
Carey and Tanaka were spotted strolling “hand-in-hand,” spies said, into Airbnb’s Open Spotlight event in LA on Saturday.
“It looked like they’re legit dating,” a witness told Page Six.
Later on Saturday, the pair was spotted at celebrity hot spot Catch LA with Carey’s manager Stella Bulochnikov, as well as the manager’s kids.
“Bryan had his arm around Mariah all night,” said a source. “She fed him dessert.”
Meanwhile, we’re told that the “Always Be My Baby” chanteuse was approached by the professional gambler and philanthropist who goes by the name Robin Hood 702, who explained that he knew Packer’s father Kerry. We hear Carey giggled when Hood kidded he’d “straighten,” her ex out for her.
Carey and Packer have been in contentious talks, which have reportedly broken down, regarding a prenup for their wedding that never happened.
At Catch, Carey also gave an impromptu performance by singing, with rapper Future, “Happy Birthday To You” to Goldie Hawn, who was celebrating her 71st birthday at a table nearby.
Other guests at the earlier Airbnb bash included Gwyneth Paltrow, James Corden and “Jane the Virgin” actress Greice Santo. Carey’s rep did not comment.
