If you think things can’t get any crazier at Trump Tower, the president-elect held a meeting with Kanye West just days after the wacky hip-hop star checked himself out of the loony bin.

The “Gold Digger” rapper took the golden elevator up to the Midtown offices of Donald Trump’s transition team Tuesday morning and had a private talk with the incoming president about “multicultural issues,” including gun violence in Chicago, West later said in a tweet.

“I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future president if we truly want change,” West wrote.

“These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago.”

West, who had earlier said he might run for president in 2020, left a final tweet that read simply “#2024,” implying he was giving up his long-shot idea of challenging Trump in four years.

Trump aides said it was West who requested the chat in an e-mail a week after the election.

“Kanye reached out to Mr. Trump and we were delighted to host the meeting,” said Trump rep Hope Hicks.

While Kanye — who sported a new blond hairdo — declined to take questions as he left Trump’s high-rise, the president-elect had nothing but praise for the rapper.

“Friends, just friends. He’s a good man. Long time. Friends for a long time,” Trump said, giving the much shorter West a bear hug.

“Life. We discussed life,” Trump added, before telling West, “You take care of yourself and I’ll see you soon.”

West’s sit-down with the soon-to-be commander-in-chief came after the 21-time Grammy Award winner was released on Nov. 30 from a California hospital, where he was being treated for serious mental issues.

His psychological state had deteriorated so badly that he had to cancel his successful “Saint Pablo” concert tour.

A source told The Post that he had stopped taking his medications because they were interfering with his creativity. He is now being cared for by his wife, Kim Kardashian, but reportedly still needs psychological treatment.

The sit-down sparked speculation that West might perform at Trump’s Jan. 20 inauguration — but neither side mentioned that afterward.

West made headlines in November when he was booed at a San Jose, Calif., tour stop for declaring his support for Trump on stage, although he also said he had not voted in the election.

It wasn’t the first time West had a brush with a president.

President George W. Bush said it was one of the lowest points when West said Dubya didn’t care about black people after Hurricane Katrina. President Obama called West “a jackass” for some of his behavior, such as grabbing the microphone from Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMA awards, saying she didn’t deserve the honor.
