Marvel mogul scores a win in bizarre DNA case

Ike Perlmutter, the Marvel mogul and pal of President Trump’s, has won a round in a legal battle with businessman Harold Peerenboom.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, “Both live at. . . a waterfront Palm Beach complex that became the scene of a nasty billionaires’ fight over tennis courts.”

Peerenboom’s suing Perlmutter for “allegedly orchestrating hate mailings” against him, and claimed DNA on a letter implicated Perlmutter’s wife, Laura.

Perlmutter’s side denied the claims and countersued, contending the couple’s DNA was, “surreptitiously gathered.”

In the latest twist, a Florida judge has allowed the Perlmutters’ case to proceed, writing they “plainly retain important intangible rights to their genetic information.”
