How J.Lo and A-Rod’s romance blossomed

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez began dating “after running into each other at an event in LA” a few weeks ago, sources tell Page Six.

The hot new showbiz couple — henceforth to be called J-Rod — had known each other socially for years, but really hit it off when they met again recently.

The former Yankees slugger had just split with his girlfriend of almost a year, tech guru Anne Wojcicki, while Lopez was coming off rumors of a romance with Drake, which she just denied.

A source told Page Six, “Alex and Jennifer ran into each other in LA around four or five weeks ago, rekindled their friendship, then things escalated over the last few weeks.”

Lopez has been performing her “All I Have” show in Vegas, and the source added, “Alex went to the show a couple of weeks ago, with his friends, and he was blown away.” She also did an exhausting round of press for her NBC show “Shades of Blue” last week, but kept quiet about her her budding relationship with A-Rod.

Lopez and Rodriguez — who has previously dated Madonna, Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz — both have children from earlier relationships. He has two daughters, Natasha, 12, and Ella, 8, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.
