Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama remain BFFs

Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama are proof that exes can, in fact, remain friends.

More than a year after their June 2016 breakup, Lovato, 24, and Valderrama, 37, hugged it out in a selfie on the singer’s Instagram, which she captioned, “Best friends no matter what.”

Valderrama was on hand at a barbecue Lovato threw Saturday to celebrate L.A. Pride weekend.

The onetime May-December couple, who were together for six years, stuck to their promise when they split.

“This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more that anything that we are better as best friends,” they said in a joint statement announcing the breakup. “We will always be supportive for one another.”

Since parting ways, the “Confident” singer has dated MMA fighters Luke Rockhold and Guilherme “Bomba” Vasoncelos, while Valderrama was briefly linked to Minka Kelly.
