J.Lo says she’s in a ‘good relationship’ for the first time

Despite having been married three times, Jennifer Lopez says her current romance with Alex Rodriguez is the first time she’s been in a “good relationship.”

“I’m in a good relationship. I feel like I can say that for the first time – I don’t know – maybe ever,” the 48-year-old singer told Hola! USA in an interview published Wednesday. “And not that I didn’t have great relationships, full of love and adventure, but this is the first relationship I’ve been where I feel like we really make each other better.”

She added, “We complement each other, and there’s really pure, true love. Just wanting to support the other person and make them happy. So there’s a different selflessness in the love that’s beautiful and different. And healthy!”

Lopez and Rodriguez — more formally known as J-Rod — went public with their relationship in March. They began dating after running into each other in Los Angeles.

At the time, a source told us, “They are really into each other because they have so much in common — from their Latin roots, to their love of New York, and their kids.”

Lopez has twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony and was also married to Cris Judd and Ojani Noa. The 41-year-old retired Yankee has two daughters with his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis.

Rodriguez was also gushing about how much his children look up to his girlfriend.

“Both Natasha and Ella love to sing, they love the arts and all the production around it,” Rodriguez told Us Weekly. “So for them it’s a huge thrill to be around one of the worlds greatest talents.”

It’s safe to say J-Rod is smitten.
