Kim and Kanye were present for baby’s birth

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were present at the birth of their third child, after a surrogate delivered a daughter for the couple.

Sources have told TMZ that the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star, 37, and rapper, 40, witnessed the arrival of their newborn at a hospital in LA in the early hours of Monday.

The site reported that the couple — who are already parents to North, 4, and Saint, 2 — were in the hospital delivery room when their second daughter was delivered at 12:47 a.m. by Dr. Paul Crane.

He is the Kardashian family’s trusted doctor and has also brought Kardashian’s other two children, as well as the offspring of her siblings Kourtney and Rob, into the world.

Kardashian is said to have been in the delivery room when the surrogate — who has remained anonymous — went into labor, and the new mother was also there when the baby was born and was the first person to have skin-to-skin contact with the child.

Her husband West was also in the same room throughout, but behind a curtain until after his little girl arrived, at the exclusive Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Also in attendance at the hospital outside the delivery room, were Kardashian’s mom Kris Jenner and her sisters.

Sources told TMZ that the surrogate was able to have a small amount of contact with the child, who weighed 7 lbs 6 oz and was born without complications.

The newest member of the Kardashian family is yet to be given a name by her famous parents.

Her arrival was confirmed by the couple in an announcement on Kardashian’s app.

Kardashian wrote in a sweet post: “She’s here! We’re so in love.

“Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl.

“We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care.

“North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”

Since the birth, there has been bizarre speculation by fans that Kardashian’s sister Kylie Jenner was the surrogate.

Just days ago Kylie, 20, was rumored to be in labor herself, although TMZ was quick to report that this was not the case.

However, fans believe it’s too much of a coincidence and that the Jenner was actually was the one carrying her sister’s child.
