J-Rod celebrate anniversary at Super Bowl
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez celebrated their one-year anniversary together at the Super Bowl at a dinner with their kids, Page Six has exclusively learned.
Lopez performed at a Super Saturday Night concert for DirecTV, during which she said to A-Rod in the audience: “We’ve been together for one year today. I don’t want to get all mushy or anything, but baby, this song’s for you. I love you.” She also performed in a jersey with a No. 13 as an ode to the former Yankees slugger.
But a source tells Page Six that even though Lopez was busy rehearsing for the show, she wanted to make sure to go out and mark the occasion on the day of their anniversary.
“She wanted to go out,” said a source who added that the couple was seen arriving at Manny’s Steakhouse [in Minneapolis] at 6:30 p.m. before her show. “They were supposed to arrive at 5 p.m. but J.Lo’s sound check ran long. Jennifer really wanted to be together for their anniversary, They went with all four kids.”
Rodriguez has two daughters, Natasha and Ella, while Lopez has twins, Max and Emme.
“The place was pandemonium,” said a spy of the scene when the famous pair entered Manny’s, but, “they were seated, tucked behind a half wall by the bar” in a cozy spot. The eatery gave the couple and their kids special desserts to celebrate.
After their family dinner, Lopez rocked the On Location Experiences and Nomadic Live at the Armory concert with musical guests DJ Khaled and Ne-Yo in front of a crowd of 8,000, including Shaquille O’Neal, Russell Wilson, Ciara, Derek Hough, Mark Cuban, Barry Sternlicht and Ron Berkowitz.
Page Six heard rumors that J.Lo would play a New England Patriots party — win or lose. Earlier on Saturday, Rodriguez was at Michael Rubin’s exclusive Fanatics Super Bowl party, where the Chainsmokers played. He then met J.Lo at a TruFusion hot yoga pop-up in town, where “Alex was showing Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson the techniques used in the workout.”
