Meghan Markle had code word for Prince Harry on ‘Suits’ set

Meghan Markle’s former co-star has revealed that they talked in a secret code about Prince Harry while on the set of “Suits.”

Wendell Pierce, who plays Markle’s TV dad, said he was one of the only people who knew about her high-profile relationship early on.

One of the biggest points of interest in Meghan and Harry’s relationship has to be how she dealt with all the speculation on the set of her show, “Suits.”

Did she keep it to herself? If not, whom did she tell? Were they sworn to secrecy?

Speaking to Harry Connick Jr. on his talk show, Pierce explained Markle did talk with him about her budding romance with the royal, but covertly.

“We always talked about [Harry] in code, really,” Pierce said.

“You know, ‘How you doing?,’ ‘Oh, I’m going to London, coming from London,’ whatever.”

During the series, which filmed in Canada, Markle would travel back and forth to the capital to see her future fiancé.

Following the couple’s engagement, Markle was confirmed to be exiting the series, following seven seasons playing lawyer Rachel Zane.

Pierce also opened up to the chat show host about his final words to Markle when she broke the news of her departure.

“I had a really wonderful moment as we were coming to an end of her time on the show,” he says.

“It was just she and I in the room and I said, ‘I know your life is going to change but always know, no matter where you are, I will always be your loving fake father.’”
