Amy Schumer won’t change her last name because of the Long Island Lolita
Amy Schumer may be a married woman now, but she has one very good reason for not taking her husband Chris Fischer’s last name.
In an Instagram story on Sunday, Schumer explained to her dad, “I’m not Amy Fischer! Do you remember who Amy Fisher is? The Long Island Lolita.”
She added, “No, I’m keeping my last name — I’m keeping your last name.”
Schumer was referring to Amy Fisher, who shot her lover Joey Buttafuoco’s wife, Mary Jo, in 1992 in Massapequa, NY. Fisher pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated assault and served seven years. Just last year, The Post reported that Fisher was hosting racy peep shows out of her family’s home.
Schumer, who grew up on Long Island, secretly married her chef boyfriend in February. The couple wed in front of 80 friends and family members — including stars Jennifer Lawrence and Larry David — at a private home in Malibu.
