Big names to appear in ‘Billions’ season 3 premiere

The new season of “Billions” debuted at hip downtown theater Metrograph on Thursday night — where buzz was that Season 3’s first episode, premiering March 25, includes cameos by real power players including Marc Lasry, Charles Koppelman, BlueCrest Capital Management’s Michael Platt and Weitz & Luxenberg’s Perry Weitz.

At an after-party at Mr. Purple, swaggering star Paul Giamatti arrived with an American flag pin — channeling his attorney general character — and circulated with his co-stars, as well as political power players, Showtime execs, and series creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien.
