Carrie Underwood gears up for comeback at ACMs after injury

Carrie Underwood is ready for the stage.

After months of staying under the radar following a November fall that landed her in the hospital with a broken wrist and injuries to her face that required 40 stitches, the singer preparing to perform at Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards.

“Getting ready for the weekend…” she captioned the confident picture  although her face was still covered by a microphone

Underwood, 35, has been keeping fans posted during her recovery writing on her blog this week that she was “doing pretty darn good.”

“My wrist is almost back to normal, about 90 percent there … and the docs say that last 10 percent will come in time. And my face has been healing pretty nicely as well. I definitely feel more like myself than I have in a while.”

She will be performing her comeback single “Cry Pretty” at the award ceremony as her debut back into the spotlight.
