Meghan Markle has the cream of British fashion at her feet.

But despite weeks of speculation that Ralph & Russo will be making the gown the American actress will say “I Do” in on Saturday, Page Six is told Markle, 36, has plumped for another designer.

The talk in London is that another British-based couturier has won the job — and it could well be the swan song of Burberry ex-chief Christopher Bailey, hugely popular among fashionistas.

Stella McCartney is also a firm favorite of Markle, who stepped out in a classy McCartney navy cape dress for the Queen’s 92nd birthday concert at the Royal Albert Hall last month.

Stella, 46, has been awarded an OBE, the Order of the British Empire, by Her Majesty. While her father, Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, was knighted in 2004 and was recently named a Companion of Honour by the Queen for his services to music, so she most definitely has the Royal credentials.

The mom-of-four told Paper last week she thought Markle looked “gorgeous” in her dress, adding: “I was thrilled. It’s one of my favorite dresses actually, so I think she has impeccable taste.”

When asked about the wedding gown rumors, Stella laughed: “Well thank you for mentioning that.”

She also told a BBC reporter to “shut up” when he dared to ask her last month.

It was rumored that Australian duo Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo had sealed the deal after Meagan wore a stunning full-length $75,000 Ralph & Russo black ballgown in her engagement photos to Prince Harry. Even more intriguingly, Harry, 33, was then spotted leaving Ralph & Russo’s London HQ.

A source said: “Meghan is a huge fan of Ralph & Russo, but if they’re involved in the wedding, it will be for the reception dress for the evening.”

Other designers, including Erdem, are believed to be out of the running for the gown.
