Katy Perry thought Meghan Markle’s wedding dress needed ‘one more fitting’

Katy Perry is on Team Kate Middleton.
After Saturday’s royal wedding, the “American Idol” judge was asked Sunday about Meghan Markle‘s Givenchy gown worn for the actual ceremony at St George’s Chapel.

“I would have done one more fitting,” Perry told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m never not going to tell the truth! One more fitting, but I love you!”
Designed by Britain’s own Clare Waight Keller, the sleek silhouette featured an open bateau neckline and slim three-quarter sleeves, additionally emphasizing the slender sculpted waist, according to Kensington Palace’s official release.
Perry, 33, stated she preferred the Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown worn by Middleton for her 2011 wedding to Prince William.
“Kate, Kate, Kate won, Kate won!” the singer exclaimed.
Following the first, 600-person reception at Windsor Castle, Markle, 36, debuted a second look for the more intimate gathering at Frogmore House later in the evening, wearing a bespoke Stella McCartney high neck white gown in silk crepe.
“I am so proud and honored to have been chosen by the Duchess of Sussex to make her evening gown and represent British design,” McCartney told Women’s Wear Daily. “It has truly been one of the most humbling moments of my career.”
Page Six previously reported McCartney had been in the running as the dress designer for Markle and Prince Harry’s big day.
