Jonathan “Foodgod” Cheban recently stopped by The Ainsworth’s East Village location to try their  Foodgod 24K Gold Wings — a dish he collaborated with the restaurant on.

“This is food porn at its finest,” the Foodgod said as he applied some golden butter to the wings, before later sprinkling them with gold dust.

“You know why gold’s important to me? Because gold makes me feel like I’ve made it,” he explained. “If I’m eating gold, it means I’ve put in a lot of years of hard work, because to be able to eat gold, it feels very rich, it feels very decadent, it feels ‘take the top off the Maybach,’ it feels, like, really special.”

After serving wings to diners at the restaurant along with blue cheese dressing, Cheban found a way to mix the dish with another of his loves: Instagram.

“This is Instagram life,” he said. “This is going to change Instagram!”
