Cardi B plans to take her baby on the road this September
Cardi B will be a hands-on mom.
The rapper, who is expecting her first child with rapper fiancé Offset, tells Rolling Stone her baby girl will not be out of her sight despite work commitments.
“What I envision is my tour bus has my own personal room, and I just want to be with my baby,” Cardi B, 25, explained.
She’s set to open for Bruno Mars for seven weeks beginning this September.
“Only time I don’t have my baby with me is when I’m getting my hair done, makeup done, performing,” she added. “I don’t want to miss one second. I don’t want to miss no smiles, I don’t want to miss no new movement, I don’t want the baby to confuse me and the babysitter.”
And after giving birth, Cardi B doesn’t plan on changing a thing about herself or growing conservative.
“Just because I’m a mom, my street credibility’s not gone, my sex appeal’s not gone,” the “Bodak Yellow” rapper said.
As for her parenting style, Cardi B says her mother was very strict – thus she may take a different approach to child rearing.
“I’m going to tell her everything. Everything,” she said. ”You have a choice. I could maintain you. I could spoil you if you go to college. Or if you want to be independent, go ahead. When you a teenager and you 18, 19, you can’t get no job that pays you more than $200 a week.”
If her daughter wants to become a stripper, Cardi will warn her of how she was treated when she worked as one.
“You want to live like that?” she reflected. “That’s how I’m going to talk to my kid.”
