Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are engaged
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin will be taking a trip down the aisle.
The couple, who’ve been inseparable for weeks, are engaged, according to TMZ.
Eyewitnesses say Bieber, 24, proposed to Baldwin, 21, at a resort in the Bahamas on Saturday night.
The insiders tell the site his security asked everyone to put away their phones before he popped the question.
Bieber’s father, Jeremy, certainly appears to be happy with the news.
On Sunday, he took to Instagram captioning a photo of his son, “@JustinBieber Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!”
He also tweeted, “The proudest.”
The singer’s mother, Pattie Mallette, also hopped onto Twitter expressing, “Love Love Love Love Love Love Love.”
The model’s dad, Stephen Baldwin, couldn’t contain his excitement either. He confirmed the news on Twitter writing, “Sweet smile on my face! Me & wife (Kennya), always pray 4 Gods will!! He is moving in the hearts of JB&HB. Let’s all pray for his will to be done. Love you 2 so much!” He also attached a scripture about husbands loving their wives.
Bieber and Baldwin have a long-running relationship. According to Billboard, they briefly met in 2014 and soon began an unique friendship – which blossomed into something more over the years. Romance rumors follow the pair as far back as 2015 when she joined the Bieber family on a vacation.
He later told GQ in 2016 that Baldwin was “someone I really love. We spend a lot of time together.”
In May 2018, Hailey opened about their on-again, off-again relationship telling The Times UK, “Justin and I were friends for a long time. We went through a long period of time where we weren’t friends. We didn’t speak for quite some time and there was a lot of weirdness that went on. We’ve moved past that.”
In recent weeks, their romance has certainly heated up. Not only were they spotted making out in Brooklyn, they’ve also synchronized their styles.
Baldwin even got the hitmaker to shave off his mustache.
Requests for comment from Bieber and Baldwin’s reps weren’t immediately returned.
