John Krasinski outbids Ed Sheeran at charity auction

Ed Sheeran and John Krasinski went head-to-head in a charity auction at the American Institute for Stuttering’s gala on Monday.

We hear that when Sheeran called in a pledge, Krasinski — whose wife, Emily Blunt, hosted the evening — grabbed the mike from the auctioneer and outbid him.

“John kept donating a dollar more than any donation Ed put forth,” says a spy.

We’re told the playful competition worked as motivation, inspiring write-ins from Samuel L. Jackson and Jack Welch.

Also at the event was Malala Yousafzai’s father, Ziauddin.

It raised $150,000 for scholarships.
