Emily Ratajkowski debuts massive engagement ring
Emily Ratajkowski gave new meaning to engagement bling Wednesday, debuting her massive diamond ring to her 18 million Instagram followers.
Seen in two close-up and caption-free snaps, the two-stone ring features an estimated 2-carat princess-cut diamond and a 3-carat pear-shaped diamond on a yellow gold band, estimates Brilliant Earth‘s VP of strategy and merchandising, Kathryn Money, who did not create the piece.
She also approximates the ring cost between $50,000 and $90,000, depending on the quality and specifications of the diamonds.
The 26-year-old model sent shockwaves on social media in February, revealing she wed filmmaker Sebastian Bear-McClard in a courthouse ceremony after a few short weeks of dating.
“I have a surprise,” Ratajkowski posted on Instagram at the time, later announcing, “I got married today.”
Weeks after the ceremony, Ratajkowski revealed her new husband proposed using a paper clip.
“He proposed to me at Minetta Tavern and he didn’t have a ring, so I was like, ‘Mmm, nah,'” she recounted on the “Tonight Show” in April. “And then he took the paper clip that the bill was paid with and made me a ring, which I actually thought was really romantic.”
Seems Bear-McClard believed his new bride deserved an upgrade.
