Harrowing new details about Demi Lovato‘s overdose have emerged.

An assistant found Lovato, 25, unconscious and unresponsive in her bed on Tuesday following a long night of partying to celebrate a backup dancer’s birthday, TMZ reported.

Lovato reportedly went to sleep, but when she hadn’t left her bedroom by 11 a.m., the unnamed assistant checked on the singer.

When the assistant couldn’t rouse Lovato, she called 911. Lovato was unconscious when paramedics arrived.

Someone in Lovato’s Hollywood Hills home informed paramedics that Lovato had been partying all night and likely suffered an overdose, leading the emergency responders to administer Narcan, a drug used to counter opioid overdoses, at the scene.

When she regained consciousness, Lovato refused to divulge what drugs she had used leading up to her overdose, though reports have suggested that the “Heart Attack” singer used meth before passing out.

She was then transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

However, it’s unlikely meth was the drug that caused Lovato’s overdose, as Narcan is not used to treat stimulant overdoses.

Lovato has been hospitalized since allegedly going on a 12-hour bender with friends the night before her overdose.

Ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama visited the singer on Wednesday.

Lovato is expected to go to rehab upon being discharged from the hospital, though sources close to the singer expressed concern that she may not cooperate with treatment after previously rejecting an intervention in the weeks before she overdosed.

A rep for the singer did not immediately return a request for comment on her recovery Thursday, but said in a statement Tuesday, “Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support. Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”
