Demi Lovato remains hospitalized a week after her overdose.

The “Confident” singer is said to be suffering “complications,” including extreme nausea and a high fever, TMZ reported, following her overdose, which was speculated to be from a combination of opiates and possibly meth.

Lovato, 25, is staying at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and a source told the site, “She is under the care of medical experts and is expected to make a full recovery.”

An insider concurred to People, “Demi wasn’t doing well over the weekend. She came down with a fever and showed signs of an infection. She is currently being treated for issues that are very common after a drug overdose. She will need to stay in the hospital for a few more days, but is expected to make a full recovery.”

Extreme nausea and a high fever are both symptoms of opioid withdrawal — a side effect of Narcan, the emergency medication that can be used to counter opioid overdoses that was reportedly administered to Lovato before paramedics transported her to the hospital.

The former Disney starlet was found unconscious in her bed last Tuesday after reportedly partying for 12 straight hours. An assistant called 911, requesting that EMTs not use sirens en route to Lovato’s Hollywood Hills home.

While those close to Lovato want her to enter rehab upon being discharged from the hospital, it’s unclear when that will happen, as sources told TMZ that the subject hasn’t been discussed with her yet because of her condition.

Sources previously expressed concern that she may not be receptive to rehab, having allegedly rejected an intervention shortly before overdosing.

A rep for Lovato did not immediately return a request for comment on her condition Tuesday.
