Kanye says he has nothing to do with Drake and Pusha T beef
Kanye West wants people to know he had nothing to do with the ugly Drake and Pusha T feud.
During an interview with Chicago radio station 107.5 WGCI’s “The Morning Show” on Wednesday, West, 41, addressed rumors that he told Pusha T that Drake had a secret child, helping fuel the summer’s biggest rap beef.
“No, I didn’t,” the rapper said. “Don’t pull me into this conversation. I’m ‘Ye. I got major things to do other than be telling him some information about Drake … I honestly don’t care that much, in all honesty.”
Around the time Drake and Pusha started going after each other in diss tracks and on social media earlier this summer, a rumor started circulating that West was the source behind Pusha’s revelation that Drake had fathered a child with former porn star Sophie Brussaux.
As ugly as things may be between the rappers, West is confident that he and Drake will work together again.
“We’ll reconcile that one day because we got to,” he said. “We got work to do because these voices are just too powerful.”
In addition to denying his rumored role in the nasty back-and-forth, West broke down in tears at one point during the interview and explained that some of his more bizarre and offensive behavior this summer — particularly his claim that slavery was a choice — can be traced back to the dissolution of his working relationship with fashion designer Don C.
“The downfall of Kanye West is directly related to Don C not being around,” he said. “I told him I need him.”
