Here’s the setlist for Aretha Franklin’s funeral
Aretha Franklin‘s funeral on Friday will be a star-studded event — with performances of some of her greatest hits and gospel classics by Hollywood’s biggest stars.
Jennifer Hudson — who will play the late Queen of Soul in an upcoming biopic — will belt out “Amazing Grace” at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit, while Ariana Grande will perform Franklin’s iconic ballad “Natural Woman,” according to a setlist obtained by TMZ.
Other acts include Faith Hill, who will sing “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” Stevie Wonder’s rendition of “The Lords Prayer,” and Fantasia Barrino, who will perform “Precious Lord.”
Hudson’s performance is highly anticipated — producer Harvey Mason Jr. told the gossip site that Franklin was excited about the biopic a week before she died on Aug. 16.
Franklin will also be honored Thursday night at “A People’s Tribute to the Queen” concert at Chene Park featuring at least 22 musical performances, including the Four Tops, Johnny Gill and Ron Isley.
Franklin’s funeral will begin at 10 a.m. and will be live-streamed online.
