Meet the man behind Kim Kardashian and Chrissy Teigen’s bizarre fashion ‘implants’

Much like two of his most famous fans, Kim Kardashian and Chrissy TeigenA. Human’s Simon Huck is breaking the internet.

An interactive art exhibit that explores the future of body modifications, A. Human got an early endorsement during New York Fashion Week when Kardashian and Teigen, along with “Queer Eye” star Tan France, modeled pieces from the “collection” on Instagram.

“Kim was really involved in the living, breathing necklace creation that she had implanted in her neck, if you will,” Huck told Page Six. “She knew exactly what she wanted. She sent me a reference. She wanted to sync it to her heart.”

Many of Kardashian’s fans automatically assumed that the star’s “necklace” had been surgically implanted — and that France, who wore an Edwardian-inspired style dubbed “The Tudor” on his Instagram, had similarly gone under the knife.

“I think we almost overcooked it because people to this day still believe that Tan [got this ruffle attached to his neck] and he’s in some recovery center going through the process,” Huck said, joking that his team may have done too good of a job making the pieces — which also include permanent high heels and shoulder horns — look realistic.

“Half the people believe that we’re a real showroom,” he explained of the exhibit. “We’re not actually performing installations in our backroom. We wanted it to feel like you’re at a day spa getting your eyebrows waxed — that’s how easy, in our imagination, it would be to swap in the biological heel and swap it out before you go to bed. The magic of the experience is blurring the line between reality and fantasy.”

As for the inspiration behind those freaky, futuristic wares? “We pulled a lot of our references from architecture and art, fashion and sci-fi, but we wanted to make sure none of them felt too alien,” Huck noted. “We wanted it to feel familiar.”

Ultimately, he added, the real challenge was figuring out how to present the future of fashion and body modification in a way that wasn’t dark or dystopian. “We want people to walk away and ask themselves the question: If it was as easy to change my body as it is to change my clothing, would I do it?”

Those in the NYC area can visit A. Human at 48 Mercer St. through the end of September for $28 (after-hours tickets cost $70). Kardashian’s heartbeat-synced necklace and Teigen’s feathery “wings” aren’t available for purchase, but fans can pick up a $600 candle shaped like those built-in wedge heels at the exhibit’s gift shop.
